Miguel Campbell – Rockin’ Beats

Hot Creations has been absolutely killing it over the past year and this upcoming year looks to be no different. With a spectrum of talents that range from Jamie Jones to Lee Foss to HNQO, Hot Creations has really cemented itself as one of the elite labels in the UK. This release off of Hot Creations marks the return of one of the Leeds hottest producers at the moment Miguel Campbell. We have covered the work of Campbell extensively here at Soundlogik so the name should come as no surprise to you.

The EP titled Rockin’ Beats will be released on the heels of Campbell’s much anticipated upcoming album ‘Back In Flight School’. The Rockin’ Beats EP contains 4 tracks with 2 remixes by Shadow Child as well as MAM. The title track off the EP ‘Rockin’ Beats’ has a high energy, warm feeling to it, stylized by its hot synth sounds and vocoded vocals. The tracks remix comes from DirtyBird backed producer Shadow Child. The remix comes with a more groove like bass line and tech like percussions giving it a distinct Dirtybird feel.

‘Not That Kind Of Girl’ has a familiar Miguel Campbell sound to it reminiscent to that of  his original Hot Creations hit ‘Something Special’. Beck Lott’s sexy vocals on top of some truly funky bass rifts give this song the attitude and energy to get the dance floor moving. The MAM remix takes a deeper take on the song focusing less on the sultry vocals and more on the groove. Both are stellar tracks and are sure to be huge hits this upcoming year.

The ‘Rockin’ Beats’ EP is slated for release on Vinyl in early January so stay on top of your release game to grab a copy. This looks to be a huge year for Campbell and the entire Hot Creations label so be sure to follow up with us here at soundlogik to stay updated on all the latest news and releases.
