MAM | I Can Fly

Over the past year no group has shaped my current tastes in music quite like that of the disco/house duo MAM. The collective of, Miguel Campbell and Matt Hughes have absolutely perfected the genre pioneered by the great Daft Punk. Much like the great forefathers of funk before them, MAM’s music is stylized by its upbeat bouncy bass and soulful vocal samples. The combination of Campbells deep bass driven house beats and Hughes’ funky guitar/bass rifts make for the perfect blend of deep and disco. The group has been hot these past few weeks releasing a major remix of Flight Facilities latest single “With You”. The group is also posed to make an even bigger splash with their much anticipated single “I Can Fly” which was released today on Juno Records. Matt Hughes and Miguel Campbell were also featured on The Adventures of SoulClap recently where they were able to showcase their bouncy funk style through a 39 minute mix. MAM has progressed by leaps and bounds over the past year and will most definitely be a name we will continue to hear from as their careers continues to progress.
