Major Lazer – Jah No Partial (ft. Flux Pavilion)

major lazer jah no partial cover

Major Lazer is so hype right now, and deservedly so. Get Free is seriously one of the top songs of the year, and from what we can tell the album is going to really push dancehall fusion forward in a way that’s never been done before, merging the style with new influences that have never been experimented with. The new single Jah No Partial, which is available digitally today, is a perfect example of the merging of reggae/dancehall and electronica influences. Jah No Partial features the Circus Records head honcho Flux Pavilion who brings his heavy bass synth into the equation, which is fused with an old Johnny Osborne sample from 1981 and the hype that is Major Lazer, resulting in a real crowd mover. The highly anticipate album Free The Universe is tentatively scheduled for February, after delays have pushed it back from a 2012 release.
