The legendary Eric Prydz remixing the ethereal M83‘s hit jam of the year Midnight City? The combo sounds like a dream, and so does the track itself. While the original is a thought evoking, dream inducing, serotonin producing masterpiece, it also leaves alot of room for remixing with the soft vocal and synths. Mr. Prydz did what he does best to this track by speeding up the tempo and giving it the uplifting prog-house feel that he’s mastered over his many years. Beautiful.

M83‘s double album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, was one of the top albums of 2011 with Midnight City being the top track. Look for M83 to be making a Coachella appearance this year. Official lineup for Coachella will be released next week!

    So weird… I heard “Midnight City” for the first time on a radio station in Tahoe last week and texted myself “m83 midnight city” so that I’d remember to look for it. I didn’t remember til I saw this post! dayum. great remix too.
