All good things must come to an end, and as our Coachella Daze series dwindles into blogular obscurity, it happily marks the beginning of the festival itself.  My last piece of Coachellers music advice would be to go see Chromeo.  Simply, they’re great live.  If you’re into funk and electronic music, and plain old fun, you obviously know of the Canadian duo and know they kill it.  These gentlemen gave up producing hip-hop back when hip-hop was cool, in search for the soul that drove their spirits.  An Arab and a Jew forming an incredible partnership proving that it’s possible! After being signed to Tiga’s label in 2001 they have released three fantabulous albums and multiple remixes.  Talented musically, and naturally intelligent one of them, David 1 (pictured left) is a PhD student at Columbia studying French Literature.  I’d be down to have Chromeo as my TA or GSI.

Not to be confused with Hot Pink Dolorean, the up-and-coming EDM act, Dolorean is an alt rock band from the United States with a newfound desire to express passion.  From stale rehearsed records to Animal Collective-esque raw noise, Dolorean became an act worth recommending.
