SoundLogik will be attending Coachella Music Festival this upcoming April and we’re extremely stoked, to say the least. Since a one post preview of the entire weekend and all of our favorite artists would be far too lengthy, we decided to start our “Coachella Daze” series which will feature Coachella artists/songs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday on their respective show day leading up to the event. Fellow Logikians, it’s time to get dazed.

The Mumford & Sons are one of my must catch sets for Saturday . With a sound that is folk-based, to be sure, but much harder than any folk music I’ve previously been exposed to. Their debut album Sigh No More is a surprisingly loud record for the most part, with a handful of calmer tracks to slow the pace down where needed. Some tracks are so fast I think it would even be fair to characterize them as “frantic”, in a positive sense. The best example would have to be ‘Little Lion Man‘, which received a Grammy nomination for best rock song and also helped them win the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. Bonus Coachella! – Daedelus

Alfred Darlington(aka Daedelus) is a huge favorite among Coachella veterans. His sets incorporate many of his tracks and remixes all played and tweaked by his infamous monome. The music he makes can be labeled as bass, experimental, glitch… whatever you want to call it. He throws it down live and is a must see if you like to dance. He’s played Coachella a couple times over the years and it is great that he will be playing in a tent this year. Definitely something refreshing to catch on the polo fields. [BUY]
