Chuckie – Together

Admittedly I’m not the biggest electro-house head in the world, but I am a beatport head and always look forward to early in the week when new releases flood my beatport box, and today’s surprise of the day was Chuckie‘s new record. We all know Chuckie has had the dirty dutch sound on lock for days on days now, but his releases of late have really caught the ears of us at SL. In his original Together, Chuckie goes straight bass electro on us, giving us a surefire club banger. It’s kind of wobbly, got some old-school vocal sample splicing in and out perfectly, with some dramatic piano and something that sounds like Mario is jumping around collecting coins in your speakers. That’s pretty much a recipe for awesomeness.

Bonus Logik – 2 different edits of Gotye. One disco, one swedish house. Enjoy.

I wtnaed a low-cost resonator to learn on. What’s the point of paying out large sums for something you can’t get to grips with? Some reviews for this item suggested that, as it’s made in China, it must be rubbish. Not so. My response is to compare the Shanghai GP track to Silverstone. This guitar is well made and has a terrific tone. It also has two pickups. It’s easy to tune and play. For an entry-level instrument, it’s perfect.
