Burgeoning Beatmakers: Husky releases “Get It” + Exclusive Minimix
We don’t keep our support for impressive young producers under wraps. It’s better for us all that the light is shone down on these burgeoning beatmakers and their craft. Husky, 19 year old Detroit native, is undoubtedly one of our favorite producers under the age of 20. Over the last year he’s continually impressed us with his work, which delves into all different styles of electronic music – from house to slow R&B to his now favorite juke and footwork. His keen ear for what’s popular as well as styles that deserve more limelight is something that you cannot teach, and shows within all of his musical work.
Now he releases his brand new track “Get It” exclusively through SL as well as a minimix to wet your appetite as to what he’s been listening to and playing out lately. Get It is an uptempo juke/footwork joint exploring deep fluctuating bass tones, utilizing constant shakers to keep the energy high, and a Kendrick Lamar sample that is simply on point.
